Adine

Colour: Intense ruby, full of violet reflections
Nose: Enveloping bouquet with notes dominated by small, well-ripened red fruits, black cherry, blackcurrant, myrtle and chocolate
Taste: Intense and silky taste, with dynamic tannicity and fruity freshness that persists in the long and balsamic finish. Full-bodied with extreme class and balance. The ultra-fine tannins are plentiful, well integrated

The first half of the year was cooler and drier than average, creating a slight delay in the vines’ vegetation cycle compared to previous years, at a pace similar to the great 1980s vintages. The summer temperatures showed an even high level without peaks or heavy rain, and were followed by good weather in September with considerable night-day temperature variation, resulting in grapes with perfectly ripe phenolics

Colour: deep purple red.
Nose: the captivating nose evokes the limestone soil of the vineyard, its mineral notes are in fact stronger the varietal notes. It shows a coplex flavor profile of wild berries, black cherries and exotic citrus fruits.
Taste: powerful and dynamic on the palate supported by saline acidity. As the wine decants in the glass it shows refreshing floral flavors of violet, juniper wood and menthol. The power is very well balanced by the acidity that leads to a fresh and tasty finish with notes of liquorice.

The 2016 vintage profile was standard, without any health problems in vineyards. The only noteworthy event was the low rainfalls registered at the end of July when veraison was going on, but the water stress was overcome by rainfalls at the end of August and beginning of September. The balance was also supported by the heat regularity without extreme spikes in the last month, and this helped grapes ripening with no overripe fruit. The excellent summer saw low rainfalls and high temperatures in July and August, but above all the significant gap between day and night temperature allowed to expect wines of high levels of aromatic profiles and excellent acidity.
